Cooperation Between IdomSoft Zrt. and MultiContact
IdomSoft Zrt., a government-owned IT service provider, is the client behind the project and is implementing the developments within the environment of the Digital Citizenship Programme (DÁP) mobile application. MultiContact’s expert team supports the project with legal, administrative organisation and business analysis expertise in areas where the client does not have sufficient internal capacity.
User-Centred Digital Identity
As a result of the project, citizens will receive a high-assurance electronic identification solution based on EU standards that can be installed on a mobile device. It enables citizens to control which personal data they share, and with whom, when accessing government and private-sector services. This represents a significant step forward in digital self-determination and data protection.
Data Security and Protection Against Profiling
One of the most important principles behind the digital wallet is that only the user has full control over their wallet. Connected organisations receive only limited access, reducing the risk of excessive data processing and profiling. This is particularly relevant in situations such as age verification, where it is sufficient to disclose that a user is over 18 without sharing their exact date of birth.
Innovation and Challenges in the EU Environment
The project is entirely greenfield and involves pioneering solutions even at EU level, creating substantial challenges. EU pilot projects have not yet been completed, while final regulatory documents continue to evolve. The MultiContact team responds to these changes flexibly and effectively while continuously monitoring the latest professional and legal requirements.
Practical Aspects of Implementation
Development is currently integrated into the DÁP mobile application framework provided by IdomSoft. The wallet’s first functionality was launched on 1 June 2025, making it possible to request and share electronic attribute attestations through the eIdentification framework service.
MultiContact is in daily contact with the client and actively participates in both strategic and operational processes, from preparing business specifications for attribute attestations and designing logging processes through to preparing notification procedures.
